Sweetwater Australian Shepherds is located in the hill country of central Texas where our dogs are our family and our life. We have been obsessed with this breed for more than a decade and we are constantly working to improve our lines and make well rounded Aussies with solid temperaments along with solid structure.  Our dogs live in our home in an exceptionally clean environment and are very loved members of our family, to continue our program without needing to rehome retired dogs we do have many of our dogs in guardians so that they can enjoy normal lives. We mostly only breed conformation show lines for lower to medium energy which tend to make better family pets. Although we have owned and loved this breed for 15 years we have only been breeding for 9 and we made that decision based off one of our foundation dogs, Sadie, after seeing how amazing she took to our special needs child and we have continued to carry that temperament into our new lines. Our dogs are constantly around our 4, soon to be 5 young children and we will never continue to breed a dog that doesn’t have or produce the absolute best health and temperament fit to be around children and other animals.
